Beautiful light, beautiful people. This adorable couple is getting married and were kind of enough to be models for a film photographers meet up that I went to with some awesome talented women in the St. Louis area. These shots are from my digital camera I brought along with me and I'm excited to see how they match the film that I shot. I used the Mastin Fuji 400 preset with is the same type of film I shot. I'm just a beginner in the film game and everyone has been so helpful and welcoming. It was fun to watch everyone do their thing and learn some tips along the way. I will do a second post of my film shots from this session when I get them and compare and contrast them to my digitalis. I'm still getting used to the idea of shooting film. I am constantly try to look at the back of the camera to see the shot I just took and every time I snap a pic I say a little prayer to the film gods (the FIND lab) and in my head say "whelp... guess we will see if I didn't totally screw that up later. On to the next!" I know it will just take some more practice to gain confidence, but I already love it. Even if it is a little scary. Because the grain, the beautiful light, the skin tones, and that timeless look.... ahhh!
